Autumn Winter 2010-11 Colour Direction

Traditionally colour direction by the trend agencies consists of four main themes followed by the various colour ranges & harmonies. They may outline in excess of 50+ colours which when you then add in the various colour options can result in a confusing array, especially for the students / graduates that at this stage will not be colour specialists.

The Trend Boutique aim to decipher this to bring you the key colour groups that we see actively being used by fabric developers, from what we are hearing from the industry, and then also as confirmed by the major trade shows, such as Premiere Vision. The idea is to show you the movement in colour between season, but also to provide you with the key colours but without being too prescriptive. Of course we give you the Pantone references, however we also leave it open to you as to how you might work with the colours for the season.
