on 7/3/11
The Trend Boutique has already picked out the Mathew Williamson's Autumn Winter 2011-12 ready-to-wear as one of their favourite & most directional ranges, so its great to see this sense of style & beauty taken through to his latest bridalwear collection. Launched at the recent Designer Bridal Show in February 2011, this was his first full bridal collection after previously having an exclusive capsule range on Net-a-Porter.

Taking the key signature elements of his ready-to-wear such as hand beading & embroidery, this has been developed into a stunning bridalwear collection that consists of the directional by-appointment only wedding dresses alongside luxury accessories including lapin & mink shrugs and headpieces & clutch bags. Mathew Williamson is even offering a bridesmaid range that also has that same contemporary feel.

As Mathew Willliamson says: "The pieces are all characterised by feminine, diaphanous silhouettes, great attention to detail through the use of delicate pattern, hand beading and embroidery"
The Trend Boutique really love the assymetric silk tulle cocktail & full-length bridal dresses with ostrich feather and ruched tulle waistbands that create such a soft & delicate feel. This in the corresponding ready-to-wear was one of our key must-have pieces for Autumn Winter 2011-12, so its great to see the same style making such a prominent statement in the bridal collection.

Following the same pattern of development from capsule to full collection as Mathew Williamson's recent foray into menswear, its fantastic to see this British designer expanding his status & business further with this latest launch. We are also looking forward to seeing more of his new diffusion line that is also being launched this Spring Summer 2011.

With such wearable & stunning pieces we can see why Mathew Williamson is now successfully stocked across numerous luxury stores via the 170 world-wide accounts he holds. This is a great example of British design and how it is possible to blend cutting-edge style whilst organically growing the company. After 14 years in the industry it is a mark of the creativity of Mathew Williamson that he is still very much at the forefront of UK design.
