'Dreaming of A Magical Future' - Environmental Justice Foundation
on 10/1/10
The Environmerntal Justice Foundation have some great friends in some high places and their latest colloborations with the 'Best of British' designers is a great example of this. It is not surprising though that they are able to get the support of some of the leading names in the fashion industry, given the amazing work they do raising awareness of forced child labour and the ecological devastation assosciated with cotton production.
With the launch of their third collection of t-shirts to aid this awareness building, what we particularly impressed with is how they effortlessly get their message across in such a stylish, yet highly impactful way. Using the theme of ʻchildhood, lost innocence and hopeʼ the combination of colour and crisp black & white designs makes up this desirable 2010 collection by designers, Jenny Packham, Alice Temperley, Richard Nicoll and Ciel. These follow on from the success of previous designs donated by Luella Bartely, Betty Jackson, Christian Lacroix, Allegra Hicks, John Rocha, Giles Deacon, Zandra Rhodes and Katharine Hamnett.

Sold internationally, and often seen adorning models & celebrities, these must have t-shirts are produced with organic and fairly traded cotton and printed using organic certified inks. With all proceeds supporting the Environmental Justice Foundation's charity and its valuable work in finding lasting solutions to environmental & human rights crimes and defending our incredible planet.
Juliette Williams of Environmental Justice Foundation says “Even in tough economic times, our buying power can be a force for good. Choosing organic and fairly traded cotton actively supports communities in some of the worldʼs poorest nations, where fair and equitable trade to the West can literally mean the difference between life and death.”

Awarded Glamour and Elle “Designer of the Year” Alice Temperley says “I wanted to make this T shirt to help those poor innocent children with no way out, no dreams of their own and in order to highlight the chronic and severe exploitation across the industry.”
Environmental Justice Foundation supporter Sophie Ellis Bextor says “As a mother, it is inconceivable to me that some of the world's poorest children should be exploited for the sake of the clothes we wear in the West. The Environmental Justice Foundation is making real change in the fashion industry and beyond. By buying their gorgeous t-shirts you can lend some stylish support to a fantastic cause"
The Trend Boutique couldn't agree more especially as our events team have actively worked in the past to promote the Environmental Justice Foundation and the sale of their t-shirts. We hope you will get online and make probably the best 'fashion statement' you can for 2010.
