About this internship:
Alexander McQueen is delighted to offer an internship placement within our design team, for someone who is currently studying a fashion design related course or participating in one of the following schemes; Erasmus, Leonardo Da Vinci, Youth in Action, Comenius, and looking to gain valuable experience of the day-to-day running’s of a fast paced and passionate design studio behind one of the industry’s most exciting, experimental and desirable brands.
Experience Gained:
During this internship you will have the opportunity to closely assist the Print Designer and gain experience of the creative process as well as getting involved with a variety of projects which go towards producing the Alexander McQueen collection. You will also learn the different set-ups for production and gain knowledge of different techniques and qualities.
This placement would suit a creative, enthusiastic, dynamic and motivated student who has knowledge of fabrics and who likes to experiment with textures. The ability to use CAD and photoshop would also be beneficial. Good drawing skills are a must as tasks will include sketching as well as research and the development of ideas. Other tasks may include sample making as well as general administration.
Commencement and Duration:
Spaces available immediately for a minimum of three months.
