Social Media & Marketing Intern - The Trend Boutique
The Trend Boutique is currently looking for an unpaid intern to assist us to develop our online marketing & social media strategy during the summer. Applications are being taken now for a July, August or September start date.
Ideally the candidate will be a student looking for a short to medium placement or a recent graduate wanting to gain valuable work experience & contacts. Previous industry or academic experience in this area is a must, plus candidate must have a good understanding of the different types of social media, such as Tumblr, Facebook, LinkedIn, Wordpress and Twitter, as well as the importance of building online & offline networks.
Key aspects of the role are:

Make sure our social network is one everyone wants to join by creating a distinctive presence on facebook, twitter, blogging etc through impactful & innovative new ideas

Building our database of contacts (currently standing at 4,000+ people within industry / general student contacts) – including approaching lecturers, students, industry contacts – so that whether we want a speaker for an event or to write an article everything is at our finger tips

Developing relationship marketing by promoting & liaising online the companies & brands featured on The Trend Boutique & ensuring new & existing contacts feel valued.
Interns should be available for 1 month, although for the right person this can be extended for a longer period. Reasonable travel expenses will be paid, so would suit those that are or can be based in Nottingham or the surrounding area.
Access to your own laptop with Microsoft Office (& Adobe Photoshop) - although we do have spare laptops / Adobe Phtoshop etc if required.
In return: interns will also get help & advice with careers, valuable contacts and to attend events & trend briefings taking place on a regular basis. The Trend Boutique try to be flexible in terms of hours in the office / and ensuring that you get valuable experience / work for your portfolio.
