Born out of an art project, where ex-social justice worker Britton Neubacher combined a love of both gardening and modern design; Tend Living is a unique collection of living sculptures and contained gardens. Believing that plants should be a part of everyday life, Britt has set out to connect nature and the home, even if just in a small way.

Ceramic and glass become the miniature gardens for plants of all different types, and each piece comes with specific instructions on how to take care of your 'art'. The shapes for the entire collection are both organic and modern, making for an aesthetically pleasing and naturally calming interior feature. As the plants used all need minimal water for growth, they are therefore both eco-friendly and need little maintainance.
Britt's dedicaton to preserving the Earth (she joined Greenpeace aged 8) extends to her wedding centre pieces, a side project of the buisness. As she says " Typical wedding flowers are flown in all the way from Kenya and South America. All of my centerpieces can be sustained and many elements can be returned to the earth, such as succulents from the bouquet and boutonnieres. Thus, creating the couple’s lifelong love garden that they will tend to along with their relationship."

Now a full-time designer, Britt 'encourages a reverent connection with our planet beginning right at home'. The Trend Boutique recently featured Tend Living as part of their Spring Summer 2012 'Harvest theme that celebrates the living nature and how we can employ & harness it in our day- to-day existence.
