'Muse' Collection by House of Organza

The Trend Boutique were very excited to hear about a third season collaboration between stylist and brand consultant Kim Howells and designer and event director Lyall Hakaraia for their brainchild, House of Organza.

Working as curators, Howells and Hakaraia have pulled together a stable of designers and creatives to produce a seasonal collection of one-offs; blending brands, talent, personality and inspiration. Having already had two successful seasons showcased through Dazed Digital and SHOWstudio House of Organza presents their Autumn WInter 2011-12 collection ‘Muse’.

Head Piece by Piers Atkinson and Gloves by Craig Lawrence for the Muse Collection
Featuring the work of Fred Butler, Dr Noki, Patternity, Craig Lawerence and Piers Atkinson the collection is an array of blue masterpieces. The inspiration for ‘Muse’ sprung from the paintings of Yves Klein who created works of art in his eponymous shade of blue. Each member of the collective has been given a project manifesto, a metre of blank canvas (to paint in a blue of their choice) and then complete freedom to interpret the concept in a manner relevant to their particular arena of fashion design. The results are a true celebration of talent, fashion disciplines and individuality.
