Origin: The Contemporary Craft Fair is held at Old Spitalfields Market, London where a distinguished panel of professionals have chosen over 200 new and established makers to exhibit. The panel included professionals from the creative industry, such as Henrietta Thompson from Wallpaper* and award-winning interior designer, Lee Broom.
Origin offers a unique opportunity to view and purchase a vast range of original, high quality craft products. The exquisite range will vary from ceramics, furniture, metalwork, glass, fashion accessories, jewellery and knitwear and will be presented in a spacious, light filled, purpose-built pavilion.

Showcasing in the vibrant East End will be fresh collections from Cissy Cook Designs (paper), Victoria Delany (interiors), Azurer (ceramics) and Waywood (furniture). In addition, will be new designs from repeat exhibitors, including Christian O’Reilly (furniture), Yoko Izawa (non-precious jewellery), Margo Selby (woven textiles) and Pachadesign (furniture), James Lethbridge (glass) and Jason Collingwood (woven textiles).
A collaboration with the prestigious London retailer, Liberty, will be an exclusive feature of the September 2011 show. Michelle Alger, Buying Manager of home and gift, will curate 5 new display windows which will feature 30 pieces of work from participating exhibitors. Each of the windows will feature themes from the fair – graphic, texture, warm tones, form and light and dark. The exclusive window designs will be displayed on the exterior of the pavilion throughout the show.
A new show called Lux Craft will also be featured at Origin. This show has a specific focus on lighting installations and has been made possible through the support of Nokia Design.
