Shadow Play by Fred Eerdekens

The Trend Boutique are intrigued by the work of visual artist Fred Eerdekens whose work is a beautiful mix of light & dark. Projecting images he plays with both real & imagined form to create quite stunning imagery.
'Mhmmmhm' by Fred EerdekensEach piece has words & letters as a central focal point as he plays with the concept of what is real & what is not. The words chosen are often abstract in their context, but make a fundamental statement throughout, being created through shadow & clever manipulation of the individual pieces of the installation.
'Neo Deo' by Fred Eerdekens
His 'shadow play' draws the viewer into his work as they themselves change the way the light hits the centre pieces & the way the shadows are formed. Whilst the installations themselves are beguiling in their simplicity allowing the difference between light & dark of the shadows to shine through.

We are looking forward to taking a look at the book Fred is due to publish to accompany his work. This artist has a unique take on the world & we are sure his new publication will reflect this with his words once more being able to take centre stage.
