Spring Summer 2011 Heritage Trend Confirmation
on 12/1/11
Around 12-18 months ago, The Trend Boutique began predicting trends for Spring Summer 2011 and decided on several significant trends, with one of these trends being 'Heritage'. We identified how heritage was a key driving source behind the season and outlined four different trend directions.
The important thing is this report is a confirmation of the trend, rather than a prediction, as the prediction process happened a long time ago, we then mapped the high end product development , and this is the final stage as the trend makes its way into store.
In this confirmation we will take a look at the predicted trends that are already becoming visible on the high street and through some of the UK's leading brands.
We Said .... Direction 1: Middle Eastern Influences
From ancient & far-flung cultures to world heritage sites we blend our recent love of the past with new materials & processes to create something to cherish for the future.
Key directions we predicted were:
- Taking inspiration from the old imperial cultures of the Ottoman Empire & lands of Persia
- Scenery from these ancient civilisations create a perfect colour palette & back drop for the season
