Tania Da Cruz recently featured these ironic 'WIG Vases' at this years Salone Satellite 2011. A fun take on our Spring Summer 2012 'Harvest' and 'Senses' trends, Tania's vases invite the owner to customise their own floral hairdos over a white ceramic vase shaped in a feminine Modiglianesque silhouette.

Throughout Tania's design work, she conveys the value of irony whilst still integrating functional design aestheitics. She aims to uncover and highlight the hidden and fun aspects of everyday life through highly unique objects.
WIG Vase by Tania Da Cruz
Born in Lisbon, Tania grew up in Brussels and finally landed in Italy where she began her training and education attending the “Progettazione Artistica per l’Impresa” bachelor program at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera in Milan. Tania was part of the Erasmus project and chose to attend the HKU school in Holland where she was deeply influenced by a new communicative approach aimed at uncovering the poetic aspects of project.
Inspired by this experience abroad she decided to continue her studies with a graduate degree specialization in Product Design at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera, completed with merits in July 2010.
